The following is a school assignment we had to do. We had to create a comparison question and then answer it.
1. Which country is the closest to Europe and where it is located?
Paso Xolul, Mexico is the closest to Europe. It is located in south part of North America
2. Which country has the most rainfall annually?
Costa Rica has the most rain fall yearly (350 cm)
3. Which country has the most distinct seasons?
Honduras has the most distinct seasons (dry season, rainy season, hurricane season)
4. What country has the highest average temperature when you where there? What is it on an annual basis?
Mexico was the hottest. Sometimes it went up to 100 F.
5. What country has the most people?
Mexico has the largest population, at 110,000,000.
6. What country has the lowest average income?
Hondurans has the lowest average of just over $1000 U.S. per person a year.
7. Which country has the most interesting type of art or craft?
Mexico does since they have piñatas
8. Which country has the best food?
Mexico has the best food because they have the most variety in the stores and restaurant.
9. What country has the most primary industries?
Mexico has the most primary industries (food and beverages, tobacco, chemicals, iron and steel, petroleum, mining, textiles, clothing, motor vehicles, consumer durables, tourism)
10. What country has the most English channels on TV in our rental condo?
Honduras has the most English channels. We had 40 Channels all in English. Costa Rica had a few and in México we had no T.V. at all.
11. Which country uses the US Dollar the most?
Honduras uses the U.S. Dollar the most.
12. Which country has the most unique animals?
Costa Rica had the most by far. We saw a lot of different wild life.
13. Which county has the lowest visible efforts to preserve the natural wildlife areas?
Mexico I think because we saw no real efforts to preserve natural wildlife areas except for one natural reserve.
14. In which country is English spoken the most?
In all three countries I think they spoke English about the some amount.
15. In which country does Dad like the wine selection the best?
Dad like the wine selection the most in the countries Costa Rica and Mexico the best. But I don’t care because I don’t like any kind of wine.
16. Which country has the most Americanization?
I’ll think that it is Mexico because in the Mexican Airport, called Mexico City Airport, it had tons of fast food restaurants like Starbucks, McDonalds, Burger King and more. My sister’s favorite is Starbucks.
17. Ethnic Groups –which country is the most homogenous?
Costa Rica because all the native people look similar.
18. In what country does a typical house of a local person looks the poorest?
Honduras had the poorest looking houses.
19. Wealth Distribution –which country looks like it has the poorest people?
Honduras because the housing looks the poorest.
20. What country plays the most English songs in the bars?
Roatan because we went to this one bar that played all English music.
21. What country has the most food that Canada has?
Mexico because they had the largest grocery store called Super Che.
22. Which country has the least amount of food in the grocery stores?
Roatan because it has the smallest grocery stores.
23. In which country did you try the new most foods?
In Costa Rica I tried Co-pos.
24. Which country’s has the cheapest fish & chips?
Roatan had the cheapest fish and chips.
25. What country had the most interesting thing you saw or things that you did?
The most interesting thing was when in Roatan the monkey stole Kate’s headband.
26. In which country did you learn the most Spanish?
I learned the most Spanish in México.
27. What country had the most boringness day?
Costa Rica- when my dad was sick, we didn’t go anywhere and internet was down.
28. What country had the most favourite activities that you did on this part of the trip?
In Roatan I enjoyed the monkey stealing Kate’s headband.
29. Which countries will you want to go back to again?
None because they are all too hot.
